The Attabira Durga Puja is not only famous for its grandeur of celebrations and beautiful pandals but also for hosting Western Odisha’s largest community kitchen, which runs with pure devotion and service.
For 9 continuous days, during the sacred Navratri festival, the Bhog Seva is offered to Maa Durga and distributed among thousands of devotees. Every single day, more than 5000+ people are served wholesome and sacred food.
To ensure everyone gets the divine blessing, the system is beautifully organized:
In each batch, around 850 devotees sit together and enjoy the Bhog 🙏
The process continues batch after batch until thousands are fed with love and devotion 🍲
Behind this massive arrangement lies the tireless effort of 200+ volunteers, who dedicate themselves day and night to make the service possible. Out of them, 5 main cooks shoulder the responsibility of preparing the sacred Bhog, and they are supported by 25+ helpers who work continuously in rosei kama (cooking work). 👨🍳🔥
This grand community kitchen reflects not only the spirit of devotion but also the rich tradition of seva (service), togetherness, and community bonding in Attabira. People from far and wide come to witness and experience this divine hospitality, where service to humanity is celebrated as service to Maa Durga herself. 🌺
✨ Truly, the Attabira Durga Puja Bhog Seva stands as a shining example of faith, unity, and dedication in Western Odisha.
